A lovely photo of the desolated winter. I love the rich tones in the forest from the almost black tree in the foreground to the brighter bushes in the background.
I did not realize you had a black and white nature photography site in addition to your nature blog, Vicky. The tree is lovely. I love photography in winter because the contours and texture stand out more than during other seasons. Hard for me to imagine that it’s winter down under, when everything here (in the US) still screams summer.

I used to do a lot of street photography in winter in Melbourne’s city centre pre 2015 (with shelter from the inclement weather), but now I live much further away, visits are infrequent.
I still post here occasionally, so keep this site on your radar 🙂
