I don’t know much about photography (as anyone looking through my photograph collection would quickly learn), but I did like seeing some interesting and nicely taken shots of Melbourne.
We feel really sorry about your light problems, Vicki. And I understand your feelings about blogging very well, my thoughts go in the same direction, especially now when we have summer in England and ost of work in the garden. I find the articles in Digital Photography School very helpful as well. Thank you for sharing your wonderful impressions of Melbourne.

Thanks Dina. I never appreciated the highs & lows of good light until I took up Photography as a (full-time) hobby. I hope you didn’t get the storms affecting your garden as I read on another English Blog.

I think everybody who has been blogging for a while ask this question. I think we should keep doing if we enjoying it. It doesn’t matter how often, really. I certainly enjoy your street shots. And once again you have captured the atmosphere of Melbourne in a quiet and beautiful way. 🙂

I’ve certainly cut down my blogging since moving apartments 16 months ago, but maybe that’s partly due to being more housebound and less able to make those lovely long walks I did in previous years. Or simply………a case of having explored most locations accessible via public transport many times over in the last 5-6 years and yearning for some new subject matter 🙂

Your photos are beautiful. I had a blog before this current one, but I deleted it because I felt like I had to write everyday to get an audience and I thought it sucked.lol People liked it, but I didnt after awhile. I say that to say this; I would write about whatever I felt and love, and the audience will come after. Theres always someone wholl appreciate your work or thought process.
I think we all like an ‘audience’ and yes, I used to blog every day years ago. In fact I did so much photography that I used to post at least 3 times in one day, but now I realise how tedious it is to read blogs of people who post so often, so now I only use this particular blog occasionally. My Nature blog I post more often as it’s my main interest.
I blog to share my photos online, not because I like blogging per se. I’d rather go for a walk in Nature, than spend half the day on the computer.
Ha light ……. it can be very harsh here in Oman, especially in the summer months: early mornings are the thing, which is why most of my photos have very few people, as only Englishmen & mad dogs go out in the midday sun 🙂 and I don’t think I pass for mad.
Come to think about it, I am not sure about that last statement 😎
Your posts here are always worth waiting for & like now, I pop in once in a while and so don’t notice your gaps.

You’re probably right, David. I don’t notice the bloggers who post rarely, only the ones who post too much (and I haven’t the time to view them all 🙂 ).

Yes! Ive reached that conclusion too. People get overwhelmed when I post too frrequently.
